Match Report: Here we go again…after we had to cancel our last monday night game past month due to lack of players, we went back to the great team of ABC Zentrum Berlin e.V. to face them on their pitch in the heart of Berlin. The weather was perfect as our game right away from the beginning. We played this time with a 7+1 line up on a 3-2-2 formation. As I said from the very first minute we put a big pressure towards their goal with some first good chances. A handball gave us the chance to score an early lead, but Pascal couldn’t handle the pressure. Nevertheless we continued a well combined game towards their goal but missed to bring the ball in the back of the net. An attack through the right wing and a pass to an open player on the left brought the 0-1 against us. We cheered up and scored quick the equalizer and few minutes later the 2-1 lead by Alexander. Before the whistle for the halftime blew we managed to increase our lead to 3-1. We played a solid first half with only one (ok, Johannes artistic handball) mistake. In the second half energy reserves were almost exhausted and the opponent had plenty of chances to score. But we managed to score early for a 4-1 lead. Afterwards we slowed down a bit and without Viet in the defense we got two goals against us within few minutes. Shortly before the 60 minutes were over we managed to score on a conter attack for the final result of 5:3. We can be proud of the effort, especially the combination plays worked really good this time and the defese was more or less really stable. Next game against ABC Zentrum on 2nd September!
